Alma Tavern

Pub theatre at its best

  • Theatre
  • Music

A Bristol institution at its finest, the Alma Tavern offers all you need for a memorable night on the town. You’ll find more than just beer here – the Alma has its own 48-seat theatre, an in-house production company, regular ‘Sunday Session’ music gigs, and a lip-smackingly delicious menu (including their famous not-to-be-missed Sunday lunch).

Boasting the oldest pub theatre in Bristol, the Alma champions new local playwrights; whilst its in-house production company, ‘Schoolhouse Productions’, has gained a fantastic reputation for presenting classic texts, such as Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray

The Alma is also a registered wedding venue and, as of 2019, has a comfortable and stylish suite of rooms for those who fancy simply rolling into bed after a great night out.
