Bristol Hippodrome

Bristol’s equivalent to London’s West End and host of major musical productions, opera, ballet and children’s shows

Opened in the early 20th century, the Grade II listed building boasts several unique architectural features, including a dome roof which can be opened to reveal the sky above - the only operating dome of its kind in the UK.

The lineup of performances has included Cats, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and Dirty Dancing, to name a few.

Located slap-bang in Bristol’s city centre and surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants it is the perfect place to visit for a rip-roaring evening out.

Did you know?

The Hippodrome has boasted many theatrical stars over the years including some more unlikely talent of the four-legged variety. Cats, dogs, elephants, bears, sealions, horses, zebras and monkeys have all made an appearance on stage.
