Chapel Arts

A witness to the city’s most eclectic array of performances for over a decade

  • Music

One of the loudest voices on Bath’s alternative arts scene - the Chapel Arts programme  presents as wide a range of the performing arts as possible. From innovative theatre, and dance, to film, mime, poetry and music from the more eclectic genres like acoustic folk, roots, reggae and ska.

Chapel Arts also offers wine tasting evenings, workshops and a rehearsal/exhibition space.

With brilliant acoustics and lighting, cabaret-style seating, a licensed bar and the Sky Blue Café - a vegan eatery - the venue is a meeting hub for Bath’s arts community.

Did you know?

Chapel Arts Centre is not actually based in a Chapel as the name suggests. Originally the building was used as the church hall to the old St. James’ Church. When St. James’ was bombed in the war, the hall was effectively ‘orphaned’ until, finally, it was turned into an arts centre.
