Egg Theatre

One of the only UK theatres solely dedicated to performances for children, young adults and families

  • Theatre

The award-winning theatre is recognised as an outstanding community hub for its work with young people: as well as producing performances for under-18s, the egg hosts regular theatre schools, workshops and courses, offering unique opportunities to local children and young adults.

The programme of performances includes productions throughout the week, with extra activities around school half terms.

The egg is part of a trio of extraordinary theatre spaces housed in Bath’s historic Theatre Royal. It also has its own child-friendly cafe, including play area complete with an indoor sandpit. Visit the website for more details and to view the programme.

Did you know?

The egg theatre was not only built for, but also by, children and young people who were closely involved in the design of the whole space. Visiting adults will feel like giants as everything is child sized.
