Bristol Shakespeare Festival

Bristol Shakespeare Festival

Curtain up on all things Shakespearean

  • Theatre
  • Festivals

Taking place throughout the whole of July, Bristol Shakespeare Festival brings The Bard's plays to life in unusual spaces around the city. Venues have included everything from parks and playhouses to city farms and historic ships.

Always full of old favourites and fresh takes on the nation's favourite playwright, expect  traditional as well as modern, interactive, musical and choreographic productions of Shakespeare's plays.

In addition to some of the nation's most prestigious touring companies, such as Heartbreak Theatre and The Lord Chamberlain's Men, BSF also hosts a festival fringe, supporting pop-up productions and innovative small-scale performances linked with Shakespeare.
